Rules & Guidelines

Welcome to the Rules & Guidelines! At The Fake World, we don't have many rules, but the ones we do have are important to make sure everybody has a good time while participating in our community. Please make sure to read through all of the rules and guidelines to ensure you are following them while playing on the server.

General Roleplay Rules

Sexual Harassment/Assault

We do not tolerate any form of sexual harassment/assult roleplay on the server. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Sexual advances towards another player (Roleplay or OOC)
• Sexual assault
• Any form of sexual harassment/assault
• Any form of sexual abuse
• Any form of sexual violence
• Any form of sexual coercion
• Any form of rape

If you or another player is experiencing any of the above, or anything similar, please report it to a staff member immediately.

Metagaming

Metagaming is the act of using out-of-character (OOC) information in-character (IC). This is not allowed on the server. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Using Discord or other OOC communication to gain an advantage in-game
• Using OOC information to locate or target another player in-game
• Watching another player's livestream or video to gain an advantage in-game
• Using OOC information to avoid in-game consequences
• Using OOC information to gain an advantage in a roleplay situation

Powergaming

Powergaming is the act of forcing roleplay on another player without giving them a chance to respond. This is not allowed on the server. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Forcing another player to do something they don't want to do
• Ignoring another player's roleplay actions
• Ignoring the consequences of your actions
• Roleplaying unrealistic actions
• Roleplaying actions that are impossible to respond to
• Roleplaying actions that are impossible to avoid

FailRP

FailRP is the act of roleplaying in a way that is unrealistic or out of character. This is not allowed on the server.

Emergency Services Impersonation

Impersonating an emergency services member is not allowed on the server. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Wearing emergency services clothing
• Using emergency services vehicles
• Using emergency services equipment
• Using emergency services radio channels

GTA Driving

"GTA Driving" refers to driving behaviors that are unrealistic or not in line with the expected driving in real life. This includes:

• Reckless Maneuvering: Performing dangerous driving maneuvers such as drifting around corners, weaving through traffic unrealistically, or jumping off ramps without regard for damage to the vehicle.
• Unrealistic Vehicle Control: Using in-game mechanics to perform stunts or actions that would not be possible in real life, such as flipping cars intentionally or exploiting physics glitches.
• Driving up mountains or other steep inclines that would be impossible in the type of vehicle being driven.

Foul Language

While select usage of swear words may be allowed, more extreme language will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Racial slurs
• Homophobic slurs
• Sexist slurs
• Derogatory language towards other players, staff, or the server
• Excessive swearing beyond what is necessary for roleplay
• Any language that is mean to:
  • Be offensive or harmful to others
  • Be sexually explicit or inappropriate
  • Be discriminatory or hateful
  • Be threatening or violent
  • Be harassing or bullying
  • Be disrespectful or rude

Scene Interference

"Scene Interference" refers to the act of disrupting or interrupting an ongoing roleplay scenario in a way that negatively impacts the roleplay experience for other players. This can include, but is not limited to:

• Unnecessary Involvement: Inserting yourself into a scene without any logical or valid in-character reason, thereby disrupting the flow of the roleplay.
• Trolling or Griefing: Engaging in behavior meant to annoy or harass other players involved in a scene, such as making loud noises, driving erratically through the scene, or otherwise causing chaos.

Out of Character

Out of Character (OOC) is not allowed in-game. Keep all OOC communication to the appropriate places.

Vehicle Repair

You are not allowed to repair your vehicle in the middle of a roleplay scenario. If your vehicle is damaged, you should roleplay the damage during the length of the scenario. Some exceptions may include:

• If your vehicle was de-synced and you were not involved in an accident
• If your vehicle was damaged due to a bug or glitch
• (Emergency Vehicles) If your vehicle is in good condition, and your lights are appearing off the vehicle for other players

Nude Peds

The usage of nude peds is strictly prohibited on the server. We have people who stream and record content on the server. If you are caught using nude peds, you will be banned from the server without warning.

Server Rules

Advertising

Advertising of any other businesses, communities, or servers will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Advertising in-game
• Speaking about other servers or communities in-game, in Discord, or any other communication platform that we provide to our members
• Posting links to other servers or communities in Discord or any other text communication platform that we provide to our members
• Giving out the IP to join another server on FiveM

Attitude & Behavior

All members are expected to act with respect and an exceptional attitude towards others and the community. There shall be no tolerance for any form of harassment, bullying, or discrimination towards any member of the community.

Name Format

All members are required to have both their Discord nickname, and their in-game (FiveM) nickname formatted as follows:

where ### is your member number, and AAA is your chosen nickname. We do not enforce the use of your real name, and we do allow nicknames. However, we do not allow advertisement of other communities, or servers in your name. (You can advertise your Twitch, YouTube, etc.).

Failure to follow this rule will result in you being kicked from the server until you have corrected your name. If you do not follow this rule after a number of warnings, you risk removal from our community.

Discord Specific Rules

• No Directly Messaging or @Mentioning staff members under any circumstance unless there is a dire situation that needs to be tended to by staff.
• No inappropriate discussions or images
• No asking for interviews (Interviews will happen when they happen, we all have lives outside of discord)
• No bot abuse
• No backstage recruiting
• No posing links in any chat unless it is a link to a video, stream, or a link that is relevant to the conversation. Simply, use common sense when posting links.
• Keep conversations kind
• No hate towards other people, regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, religion, origin, etc.. This shouldn't have to be said, but it does.

Streaming & Recording

Training & FTOs

Members should not be streaming or recording any training or FTO sessions. This is to ensure that the training sessions are kept private and to prevent any potential issues that may arise from streaming or recording these sessions.

Positive Representation

When streaming or recording content on the server, members are expected to represent the community in a positive light. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Avoiding the use of foul language or inappropriate behavior
• Treating other players with respect and kindness
• Following the server rules and guidelines
• Avoiding any behavior that could be considered harmful or offensive
• Avoiding scenes or situations that do not align with the community's rules and guidelines (e.g., OOC behavior, failRP, etc.). These scenes should be reported to staff immediately.
• Not talking poorly about the community or other members

Any member of staff reserves the right to kick or ban any member from the server at any time without notice, for reasons either listed above or not listed above (within reason).
